History

The Auchendinny Village Association was formed to ensure that all facilities and land remained community owned and community run.  The Auchendinny Association later became known as The Glencorse Association and the beneficiary area expanded to encompass the Parish of Glencorse.

The hall quickly became a focal point and home for many social, recreational and sports groups.  It is home to the Dalmore Boys Club (the local boys football team) and plays host to many competition matches and weekly training sessions.  Regular social dances were attended at the hall and social groups including a weekly youth group, two nursery providers and regular dog training classes also utilized the facilities.  Local children make daily use of the outdoor space and play-park.

After 40 years of regular use, the building is at the end of its lifespan and has had to close, leaving us without a vital community resource.

The Glencorse Association is now actively planning for the next 40 years.
