Care Taker Role
Hours: 16 hours per week – flexible hours available (with some weekend and unsocial hours)
Location: Glencorse Centre, Auchendinny (on-site)
Salary: £14 per hour (£11,648 per year)
Contract: Fixed term contract – 12 months (hope to extend if funding permits)

Do you live local to Auchendinny and are looking to use your practical skills to help your community?If so, you could be a great fit as the Glencorse Association’s new Caretaker.
This role is new for us. You will be the backbone of our centre, making sure that our site remains safe, secure, clean and well-maintained so that our operations can run smoothly every day.No two days will be the same. You will take the lead on maintaining our spaces; ensuring we are compliant and safe; taking on minor repairs or organising help for bigger jobs and maintaining our energy facilities.Some days you can expect to be inside, buffing our hall floor or reorganising our storage systems. Then other days you could be outside, maintaining our grounds and green spaces.The role will need to adjust to meet the needs of the centre and community. This will involve some work to open or lock the centre at unsociable hours and being available for occasional call outs to deal with security or emergency repairs. For that reason, the role will suit someone who lives close to the centre.

Community Activities and Marketing Coordinator Role
Hours: 20 hours per week – flexible hours available (including some evenings and weekends)

Contract: Fixed term contract – 12 months (hope to extend if funding permits)

Are you a great people person? Do you thrive on connecting with people, bringing them together and growing new ideas? Do you enjoy variety at work where no two days are the same?
If so, you could be a great fit as the Glencorse Association’s new Community Activities and Marketing Coordinator.This role is new for us. Your job will be to connect with people from across our local communities to create new activities and events to engage them in the centre. You will support the delivery and development of our existing calendar of events, while also spotting gaps to bring new ideas to our calendar.
You should be a strong coordinator and facilitator, comfortable to get in there and deliver new activities to large and small groups. We’re looking for someone who can really engage and consult with people from all walks of life to find opportunities to engage them in the centre. You should be confident in the whole activities and events process from identifying need and consulting with members through to design, marketing and delivery.We have a busy centre and a small team, so we are also looking for someone with great social media and digital skills to help us to market our centre and activities to existing and new audiences. You will create and lead on a marketing plan to communicate across channels (social media, email and noticeboards) to grow our audience and user base.
